We carefully consider each song we select - and the many we don't. Part of our goal is to creat a safe place for dial-scanning listeners who find themselves seeking refuge from the obscene barrage that mainstream radio has become. To that end, some question why we don't play certain popular artists' "spiritual" songs. The answer is simple: When we play a song on the air, we imply endorsement. To that end, some question why we don't play certain popular artists' "spiritual" songs. The answer is simple: When we play a song on the air, we imply endorsement. If we were to affect the sales of a CD containing a single spiritual song, and nine othes about drinking or illicit love affairs, we are eternally responsible for ushering those thoughts into someone's life.

Making song choices without becoming judgmental requires a strong sense of spiritual balance. When I read thoughts like yours, I'm glad for the extra care we take to maintain that balance.

Thank you for caring enough to post these thoughts here for others. It's on thing to feel - it's quite another to share.

Thank you, Kelley. Sometimes it is simply happy and joyful. Sometimes we celebrate almost through gritted teeth because of what we are experiencing, or what we see in the world around us. And yet the underlying reason for our celebrating remains. Emmanuel. God with us. We believe, and keep trying to believe. Peace to you and all who see this.
